Set up Email Account with Outlook 2013/2016/2019/365

To set up an IMAP and SMTP email account in Outlook for cPanel mailbox, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Outlook:

    • Launch Outlook on your computer.

  2. Add Account:

    • Go to File > Info > Add Account.

  3. Manual Setup:

    • Choose "Manual setup or additional server types" and click Next.

  4. Choose Email Service:

    • Select "POP or IMAP" and click Next.

  5. User Information:

    • Fill in your User, Server, and Logon Information:

      • Your Name: Your Name

      • Email Address: Your Email Address

      • Account Type: IMAP

      • Incoming Mail Server: Your cPanel server's incoming mail server (e.g., mail.yourdomain.com)

      • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): Your cPanel server's outgoing mail server (e.g., mail.yourdomain.com)

      • User Name: Your Email Address

      • Password: Your Email Password

  6. More Settings:

    • Click on "More Settings" and go to the Outgoing Server tab.

    • Check the box that says "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."

    • Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server."

  7. Advanced Settings:

    • Go to the Advanced tab and check the following settings:

      • Incoming server (IMAP): 993

      • Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL

      • Outgoing server (SMTP): 465

      • Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL

  8. Test Account Settings:

    • Click on Test Account Settings to make sure everything is configured correctly.

  9. Finish:

    • Once the test is successful, click Next and then Finish to complete the setup.

Now, your IMAP and SMTP email account from cPanel should be set up in Outlook. You can now send and receive emails using Outlook with your cPanel email account.
